The Board of Trustees of the Akogba Mountain Resort Initiative has announced the appointment of Prince Morakinyo Otitoju (PMO) as the Chairman of the Planning Committee for the 2025 edition of the Akogba Mountain Hike.
This decision was made following a virtual meeting of the Board of Trustees held on Friday, January 10, 2024.
According to the BoT Chairman, Barr. Dayo Babalola the appointment of PMO is in line with his outstanding leadership style and commitment to previous editions.
“On behalf of the Board, I would like to extend our profound gratitude to Dr. Dayo Mejabi, the immediate past Chairman of the Planning Committee, for his remarkable leadership and dedication in delivering successful editions of the Mountain Hike in previous years. His efforts have set a high standard, and we are truly grateful for his incredible contributions.
“Prince Morakinyo Otitoju is taking on this role at a pivotal moment, and we are confident in his ability to lead the planning team to build on the strong foundation already established. The Board has tasked him with ensuring that no stone is left unturned in raising the bar for the 2025 edition.
“I would like to assure Prince Otitoju and the entire planning team of the unwavering support of the Board of Trustees. Together, we aim to continue positioning Ekinrin-Adde as a leading tourist destination in Nigeria, renowned for hosting memorable and impactful events.
“In line with this vision, various activities have been carefully planned to ensure that the 2025 Akogba Mountain Hike exceeds expectations. These plans will be unveiled in the coming days as the restructured planning committee meets to finalize preparations.
