Travellers and other road users have been held up for several hours due to heavy traffic along the Lokoja Koton-karfe Road.
The gridlock which resulted from the flooded road at Koton-karfe was compounded after 2 articulated vehicles got spoilt along the highway on the flooded axis with no alternative route.
There is a combined efforts of the police, army, FRSC and vigilante personnel as well youth volunteers who were directing the traffic. ensuring orderliness.
However, the gridlock at the Murtala Muhammadu bridge at Jamata Community may take longer period to clear as vehicles going towards Abuja have taken over all the lanes due to said impatience by drivers.
