The people of Iyah Gbede Community have congratulated the Chairman Elect of Ijumu Local Government Area, Haruna Ibrahim on his victory at the just concluded Council Polls.
According to a statement by Dr. Emmanuel Jeminiwa, the National President of Iyah-Gbede Development Association (IDA), people of the Community are happy to identify with the landslide victory of Alhaji Haruna at the election.
Dr. Jeminiwa commended the people of Iyah/Ayeh Ward and Ijumu Kingdom at large for their peaceful conduct before, during and after the LG Polls.
He pointed out that the outstanding performance of the Chairman Elect during his six months as Transition Committee Chairman has made the people of Ijumu entrust him with the mandate to steer the leadership of the number 1 position.
The IDA National President, urged him to hit the ground running immediately after his inauguration as much is expected from him, especially now that the nation is passing through economic difficulties.
While acknowledging the overwhelming support giving to the Chairman Election during the election, Dr. Jeminiwa congratulated the Councillor Elect for Iyah/Ayeh Ward, Hon. Shade Olorunfemi on her victory at the election.
He urged the Councillor to work with the Executive Chairman to attract dividends of democracy to Iyah-Gbede people towards justifying the confidence of Ijumu Citizens.
