Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), the State Security Adviser to Kogi State Government, has asked members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his local government to rally behind President Bola Tinubu and Governor Usman Ododo ahead of the 2027 general election.

Omodara made the call on Monday at the Kabba/Bunu local government leaders and stakeholders’ meeting held in Lokoja, the state capital.

The meeting was convened to unite and strengthen the party’s structure at the local government level.

Speaking at the meeting, Omodara said the calibre and number of party leaders in attendance should dispel any political anxiety within the local government.

“If we resolve, collectively and immediately, to work together, we can command political dominance across all 15 wards of the Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area,” he said.

Omodara added that Kabba/Bunu LGA had consistently delivered strong electoral results.

However, he cautioned party members against internal divisions, saying disunity weakens the party and undermines electoral success. He said victory in 2027 would depend on unity, discipline and collective execution across all levels of the party.

“As leaders, we must return to our villages and wards with a singular mission to mobilise, and register, more persons in the ongoing INEC’s continuous voters registration” he said.

“This is not a time for petty divisions, unnecessary suspicion, or internal anxiety.”

Omodara said the APC is determined to carry the Renewed Hope message of President Bola Tinubu to every corner of the state.
