The National President, Iyara Development Association (IDA), Alh. Aliyu Badaki PhD has eulogized the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim over his renewed drive to flush out crimes and criminalities from the Area.

Alh. Badaki in a statement made available to Newsmen applauded the closure of Iyara Zango Market, a move he described as long overdue and a step in the right direction.

He said the Market has not added any economic value to the Local Government and has posed security threats to the Local Government, Okun land and some parts of South West.

The IDA President urged Heads of Security Agencies in Kogi State as well as Government to go beyond shutting down the market but investigate activities at the Zango Market.

He expressed satisfaction with the move by the Local Government Chief Security Officer, saying the Community and people of the Area are fully in support with the step.

Alh. Badaki urged the Chairman not to relent in the current drive aimed at safeguarding lives and property, adding that no meaningful development can take place in any society where insecurity thrive.
