The Gbede Traditional Council and Gbede Development Union (GDU) in Ijumu Local Government Area, Kogi State has condoled with Senator Smart Adeyemi over the death of his Mother, Mama Victoria Adeyemi.
In a Condolence Message by the Olugbede of Gbede Kingdom, HRM. Oba Col. Olusegun Oloruntoba rtd and National President of GDU, Chief Israel Oshafunmi the Gbede Leaders described the demise of Mama Adeyemi as a big blow and great loss.
They noted that they received the news of her passing unto glory with rude shock, having known the critical role mothers play in the family and society.
According to the statement “The Gbede Traditional Council and Gbede Development Union (GDU) in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State extend our heart felt condolence to our Distinguished son and Senator, Smart Adeyemi over the unfortunate passing unto glory of his lovely mother. We sympathize with him and the family at the moment of grief.
Although all men will die, losing a mother or any loved one is painful. Our condolences to Senator Smart Adeyemi, his family and people of Iyara community on this colossal loss.
No doubt, we have lost a rare gem, we have lost a virtuous woman and Amazon of Iyara land.
The Gbede Leaders added the demise of Mama Adeyemi has created a vacuum too difficult to fill as she will be greatly missed.
While praying God to grant the family the fortitude to bear this collosal loss, they prayed for the repose of the soul of Mama Victoria Adeyemi.
