Connected Development (CODE) has signed a memorandum of understanding with HumanX on Providing Eco-friendly Reusable Pads, according to a post on the official Facebook page of the Organisation.

Speaking at the MOU signing which on Monday, the Chief Executive Officer of CODE, Chief Executive, Hamzat B. Lawal said the partnership is in line with the organization’s commitment to addressing obstacles/barriers to enrollment and retention of girls in school, particularly young girls in rural/remote communities who are forced to miss school during their menstruation for lack of menstrual products.
In his words, “no girl should miss out on learning or productive days for lack of products to navigate such a natural biological occurrence.”
On her part, the Founder of HumanX Gbemi Elekula expressed complete trust in the partnership to achieve the set goal of reaching women and girls in underserved communities with these products and improving menstrual hygiene.
She stated the partnership is a well thought out move to leverage the access, community reach and mobilization capabilities of Connected Development [CODE] to reach beneficiaries.
The reusable pad will be distributed in the coming days to women and girls in selected pilot communities.
Each pack contains 3 reusable pad per person to allow ample time for washing and drying.
The pads also have a shelf life of 4 years and comes with pin on it wigs to ensure comfort, fitting and keep users dry without the risk of stain during their flows.
Duration the distribution, a live demo and lecture will be delivered to beneficiaries to educate them on proper usage!
