Kogi Education Ministry Directs Primary, Secondary Schools to Resume 23rd of February

Kogi Education Ministry has directed heads of  Primary, Secondary Schools both public and private to resume 23rd of February.

 

Recall that the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Kogi State Chapter had announced an adjustment in this term academic calendar for schools both Private and Public Schools to embark on mid term break as from 4th February 2026.

 

The resumption which was earlier scheduled for this week was postponed for another week.

 

But the Ministry in a statement through Mr. Matthew Eri Salami, Director Basic and Secondary Education directed the schools to resume on Monday next week.

 

I am directed to inform you that Schools are to resume on Monday 23rd of February, 2026 after the emergency mid-term break.

 

It added that all other information will be communicated later.
