The State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, Commander Jerry Omodara (retd.), on Friday attended the passing-out parade of the 2026 set of the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Okura, in Ankpa Local Government Area.
Commander Omodara attended the event to represent the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Ododo.
Speaking at the ceremony, Omodara conveyed the Governor’s goodwill message and commended the school management, staff, and graduating students for their discipline, academic excellence, and commitment to the core values of the Nigerian Navy.
He described the graduating set as future leaders who would contribute meaningfully to national security and development, and urged them to uphold integrity, hard work, and patriotism in the next phase of their lives.
The Security Adviser also reaffirmed the Kogi State Government’s commitment to supporting institutions that promote quality education and youth development across the state.
The event featured a parade, drills, and the presentation of awards to outstanding students, and was attended by parents, guardians, and dignitaries from across the state.
In his remarks, the Commander, NNS LUGARD, Commodore Adesola Ojo, appreciated Ododo and Omodara for their commitment and continued cooperation with the Nigerian Navy.
He reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment to the wellbeing of the people of Kogi State and its dedication to protecting lives and livelihoods, noting that the Nigerian Navy remained resolute in discharging its constitutional duties in the state.
