The Elebila family of Iyara has expressed profound gratitude to the Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Idris Asiru, for his support during the burial of their patriarch, Late Pa Amos Adebayo Elebila.
In an appreciation message signed by Adebayo Clement Femi, on behalf of the entire Elebila family, he thanked the Commissioner for his “uncommon support, morally and financially,” during the burial, describing his gesture as one that “meant the world” to the family.
“Your kindness, your encouragement and your presence at such a difficult time meant the world to us. You did not just support me, you stood by the whole family. We are forever grateful,” he said.
He also commended Aare Afolayan Nurudeen for leading a team of friends from Abuja and Lokoja to Iyara to honour his late father, describing the journey as “a debt of love we will never forget.”
“Your sacrifice, travelling that far to be with us, is a debt of love we will never forget. God bless you all abundantly,” he added.
Femi further appreciated members of the MAAI Nation and all friends, associates, and well-wishers who stood by him before, during, and after the burial, noting that their support made his father’s burial “a glorious and befitting one.”
“Your calls, prayers, presence and contributions made my father’s final passage a glorious and befitting one,” he said, while praying for God’s blessings on all who identified with the family in their moment of grief.
