Yoruba National Community to Hold Inaugural Anniversary in Italy

The Yoruba National Community will on Saturday 24th hold it’s Inaugural anniversary in Italy to introduce the presence of Yorubas in the country.

 

The National Secretary of the Association, Prince Oladele Adewale from Oshogbo in Osun state made this known while speaking with our correspondent during a Telephone interview.

 

The event which is scheduled to hold on Saturday is to introduce the presence of Yorubas to the government and people of Italy.

 

Prince Oladele noted that the event is to bring Yorubas together and project their cultural heritage to the international Community.

 

 

According to him, the event will showcase the culture of Yorubas in the country, with the presence of the Egungun, Eyo and Igunu masquerade to appreciate the African culture.

At the event, Yoruba culture will be showcased in Italy with masquerades such as; egungun, eyo and cultural dance around the town of Italy.

He maintained that all the necessary arrangements has been put in place to ensure a hitch free ceremony.

The permission of the cultural department has been sought and there is a backing from the government of Italy

The invited guest include, Ambassador of Nigeria to Italy,, Ambassador of spain and other African ambassador in Europe among others will be in attendance.
