Gov. Bello Signs 2023 Appropriation Bill Into Law

Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello has signed into law over one hundred and seventy two billion Naira Appropriation bill for the next fiscal year.

Speaking during the signing of the financial bill, Governor Bello noted that his administration will continue to ensure resources of Kogi State work for the people of the state.

He commended the seventh Assembly for their patriotism and loyalty to his leadership, saying the massive inauguration of projects by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday was a result of their cooperation.

He reiterated his administration’s determination to fight crimes and criminality no matter the person is involved.

On the next general elections, Governor Bello said the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State is ready to deliver one hundred percent for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shetima candidacy.

The Speaker, Prince Matthew Kolawole, in his remarks congratulated the Governor for the successful hosting of President Muhammadu Buhari for the inauguration of projects, saying the Assembly was proud of his modest achievements.

According to him, the seventh Assembly has enjoyed a robust working relationship with the Executive and appealed to the Governor to extend same to the incoming State legislators.

The Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Idris Asiru thanked the Governor for creating room for transparent budget system in the State which he noted had earned the Kogi State awards from international agencies.
