The National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) has announced with great sadness the passing of their beloved National President, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau, on June 5, 2024, at the age of 62.
According to a statement by the head admin, Naomi Agbo, she succumbed to a brief illness in the early hours of the day.
“Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau was a dedicated leader and champion of women’s empowerment who will be deeply missed by all who knew her,” said a spokesperson for the NCWS. “Her tireless efforts and contributions to the betterment of our society will never be forgotten.”
Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau’s legacy will continue to inspire and motivate generations to come. As the NCWS mourns the loss of their dear leader and friend, they pray that God grants them the strength and grace to bear this irreparable loss.
“Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau was a shining example of dedication and service to humanity. Her passing leaves a huge void in our lives, but her impact will continue to be felt for years to come,” said a close associate.
The NCWS has announced that she will be laid to rest today in her hometown in Lau, Taraba State, in accordance with Islamic rites. Further arrangements and details will be communicated in due course.
The organization has called on all members and the general public to join them in extending their heartfelt condolences to Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau’s family, friends, and all members of the NCWS.
