CCTV Cameras are Compulsory for Hotels, Motels, Eateries in Kogi – Orebiyi

The General Manager, Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board, Prince Philip Orebiyi says the installation of Closed-Circuit Television, remains compulsory in Hotels, Motels and Eateries across the State.

Prince Orebiyi made this known during a panel discussion at the 8th Nigeria Tourism Investors Forum and Exhibition in Abuja.

The General Manager, who used the discussion to briefed the gathering on efforts of the State Government in developing the Tourism Sector, said the State Government is concern about the safety of Tourists visiting the State.

According to him, the board is not taking security in hospitality places likely, saying it is important for the property ofmlives and property.

He stated that to ensure a viral Tourism Sector, the State Government is working on legislation and policies to ensure that the potentials of Sector are properly utilised.

Prince Orebiyi added that unlike the past where lip service is paid to Tourism Development, the present administration is working round the clock to provide the needed development in the sector.

On his part, the Group Managing Director of Better ways Group, Doctor Victor Dare said for government to introduce Tourism Trust Fund to drive development of the sector.
