Kogi Frontline Politician, Dr. Toyin Akanle has empowered over 250 widows through his Non Governmental Organization, Williams James Foundation to celebrate the yuletide season.
Dr. Akanle also organized a Carol Service for Children numbering 300 including orphans tagged “Unto Us a Child is Born” held at The Chapel of His Glory, Isanlu in Yagba East Local Government Area.

While the Widows empowerment is the 19th Edition, the Children Carol Service is the maiden edition.
Dr. Akanle, while addressing the different gatherings, felicitated with Children and Widows on the celebration, saying the events where organized to put smile on the faces of Widows and bring children together to celebrate the birthday of Christ.
He noted that this year’s Williams James Foundation Widows Empowerment is the 19th edition as the annual programme was in honour of his late Mother.
Dr. Akanle urged the widows to continue to have faith in God and avoid acts that are inimical to their spiritual and societal growth and development.
He called on them not to sell their vote in the next general elections, saying their votes is their power to vote Leaders that would carter for their wellbeing.
The Kogi Frontline Politician added that the 20th Anniversary of the Widows Empowerment will hold in April.
While Christmas gift packs were given to the over 300 Children, the Widows were empowered with Food items including, rice, semovita, seasoning and so on.
