The Chairman of APS Youth Foundation, Chief APS Arogundade has expressed worry over the continuos closure of Universities in Nigeria by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Chief Arogundade while speaking at the 21st Speech and Price Giving Day of Federal Government Girls College Kabba, said the closure of Schools in the last 6 months has brought set back to the education sector.

In his words “The ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has no doubt brought set back to the University Education system in Nigeria.”

“Also , Students are here celebrating their graduation ceremony today due to uninterrupted education system and are expected to get admission to Universities of their choice. But how can this be possible when our Universities are under lock and keys,” He pointed out.

Chief Arogundade maintained that Stakeholders in the Education sector must put their heads together and proffer lasting solutions to incessant industrial actions.

If we truly love the young generation, nothing is too much for the Federal Government to do for the future of University Academic system, which currently is in comatose.
