The National President of Egbeda Egga Development Union (EDU) says the coronation of Oba Olumide Noah Obademi as the Obaro of Egbeda Egga is a new dawn for the community.
Oba Obademi was on Saturday coronated as the Paramount of Egbeda Egga by the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, HRM. Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni amidst funfair.
Speaking with The Drum Reporter on the Sideline of the Coronation, Dr. Otitolaiye expressed optimism that the Community will witness peace and unprecedented development under his reign.
According to the EDU National President, the upgrade of the stool of the Monarch barely his appointment is a clear indication that he will be a successful Oba.
He stated that the Union and the entire sons and daughters of Egbeda Egga are ready to give him maximum support.
He however appealed to the state government to declare a state of emergency on infrastructure decay in the Community as it has not felt the impact of government.
In his words “We need help, the only secondary school in this community is currently in a dilapidated state, our town hall project has been on for more than 40 years and yet to be completed.”
He further explained “We need street lights and our roads are bad. We are crying for help in the area of electricity and other amenities that will make life better for our people.
Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Coronation, Mr. Julius Taiye Atibioke congratulated Oba Obademi on his ascension and prayed God to grant him good health and wisdom to succeed.
