The Gbadero of Ekinrin-Adde land, Chief (Dr) Samuel Bamikole Ibitoye Bamisaiye, will on the 21st of June 2024, receive a Life-Time Achievement Award at the Awards-Night which will take place at the Ekinrin-Adde Multipurpose Hall.
Adewale Victor Adekanye, in a statement, disclosed that the Awards-Night is a flagship event of Ekinrin-Adde day, typically held on the eve of the carnival.
Speaking with our reporter about the categories of honorees, Adekanye noted that the Life-Time Achievement Award is exclusively reserved for Ekinrin-Adde indigenes who have served the community and have retired from their chosen careers.
He stated that recipients of Life-Time award are people with rich backgrounds who are carefully selected for the prestigious award.
Chief Samuel Bamikole Ibitoye-Bamisaiye (Ph.D) was born about sixty-three (63) years ago at Odo-Adde in Ekinrin- Adde to the family of Late High Chief Solomon Ibitoye Bamisaiye, the Olufakun of Adde in Ekinrin -Adde from Okela family in Odo Adde and Olori Julianah Funmilayo Ibitoye-Bamisaiye from Ilufe clan, Ekinrin-Adde.
Dr Bamisaiye started his Primary School at the Baptist L E A School in 1969 and finished in 1975. He proceeded to Baptist High School (BHS) Ekinrin- Adde and also attended Mount Carmel College Oloje Ilorin in Kwara State where he obtained his West Africa School Certificate (WASCE).
He worked briefly after his Secondary School at Nigeria Textile Mill Ikeja, Lagos before he went back to School In 1982. He got admitted into Kwara State College of Technology, School of Basic Studies where he obtained his General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advance Level and Interim Joint Matriculation Examination Board (IJMB).
Dr. Bamisaiye thereafter proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria to Study History. He graduated with B.A (Hons) History. After his NYSC service, he went back immediately to pursue his Master’s degree and bagged M.A in History.
Barely after his Master’s degree, he was employed by the Federal Civil Service Commission into the Service of National Assembly, Abuja where he served until his retirement.
His career in National Assembly was progressive. He started as Research Officer 1, got promoted to Senior Research Officer after which he was posted to House of Representatives where he served for 18 years.
While he was in the House of Representatives, Dr. Bamisaiye served in various Committees of the House. In February 2018, Dr. Bamisaiye was posted to the Procurement Department of National Assembly as the Director and Head of the department where he served until he retired from the service of National Assembly in 2021. In the course of his service, Chief Bamisaiye attended several courses and Seminars both home and abroad.
While in service, the love for further Education propelled him to apply for his Ph.D at Nassarawa State University, Keffi where he obtained his Ph.D in History in 2014.
Dr. Bamisaiye has published several research papers and articles in magazines and academic Journals. Through his much acquired leadership skills, Dr Bamisaiye handled several leadership positions in many associations and clubs, such as:

General Secretary, Ekinrin-Adde Community Devt Association (EACDA) for 8 years. General Secretary, EACDA Abuja Branch. Vice Chairman, EACDA Abuja Branch. Chairman, EACDA Abuja Branch for 4 years. National President, EACDA for 4 years. Ex-officio ÈACDA 2014 to date.
Chairman Planning Committee of Ekinrin-Adde Day 2018 and the Coronation of HRM Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu (Ahe Maworo 1, CON) the Olu Adde of Ekinrin-Adde. Patron, EACDA Abuja Branch till date. Patron, Ijumu Development Union. Grand Patron, Frenze Club (Old Students of Baptist High School Ekinrin Adde). Patron, Apex Club, Ekinrin-Adde. Patron, Okun Development Association, Zuba, Abuja Branch. Patron, Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, Ekinrin-Adde. Patron, Royal Ambassador, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Dutse Baupma etc.
Dr. Bamisaiye has received several awards from institutions /organisations and Associations among which are: Research Fellow Institute of Corporate Administration. Fellow Man-power Development and Management. Honourary Chieftaincy title – Gbadero of Ekinrin-Adde, 2007. Best Man of the year in Ekinrin-Adde, 2010. African Credibility Gold Award, 2012. Ambassador for Peace and several among others.
In Dec 2018, Chief Bamisaiye was conferred with the traditional title, Olodoa of Adde, Ekinrin-Adde. Due to his love for his Community and the people, Chief Bamisaiye has empowered and facilitated the employment of several youths in the Community. It is on record that Dr. Bamisaiye facilitated the establishment of the first RITC located in Ekinrin-Adde, the first of its kind in Ijumu Local Government Area. Also he facilitated some solar streets light in Ekinrin-Adde.
Similarly, Dr. Bamisaiye facilitated a block of 3 Class rooms renovated and furnished at Model Primary School. During the tenure of Chief Bamisaiye as the National President of EACDA with the support of his Executive Council and the entire Community, he recorded some major land mark achievements in the infrastructural development of the community ranging from Education and health sectors. The replacement of the iron roof of Ekinrin-Adde Muiti-purpose Event Centre to long span roof with aluminium windows were done.
Similarly, Ekinrin-Adde Police Station was built from foundation level to its completion during his tenure, just to mention but a few of his achievements.
