Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the Chairman, Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Alhaji Adeiza Momoh Jimoh over the demise of the his wife, Malama Zainab Momoh Jimoh.
The Governor, who paid a condolence visit to the Chairman at his residence in New Layout, commiserated with him, his family as well as members of the media in the State.
He expressed sadness over the death as he urged Alhaji Adeiza to be strong for the kids.
Alhaji Bello reiterated that death was inevitable and that every individual shall some day depart this world, stressing that he would continue to support the deceased family.
According to the Governor, he had directed his personal physician to take charge and wanted the late Malama Zainab to be treated at the brand new reference hospital as soon as he was informed about the ailment.
He therefore prayed God to repose her soul and strengthen the family to overcome the pains of the demise.
In his response, Chairman, Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Alhaji Adeiza Momoh Jimoh expressed amazement by the visit of the Governor despite the moral and financial support accorded him by government when Mallama Zainab was hospitalized.
Alhaji Adeiza, who is the General Manager of Prime FM Lokoja described the deceased as a mother and lover of people who had extended helping hands to several children in need, bringing them under her roof.
The NUJ Chairman was also full of praises for Doctor Yemi Kolapo who he said had been a pillar all through the period of his distress.
Alhaji Adeiza further expressed his gratitude to the Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello as he prayed for his successes at a higher level of responsibility.
