Arc Salman Idris, the Candidate of the African Democratic Congress for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency has solicited the support and prayers of people of the Constituency in his bid to represent them in the Green Chamber in the 2023 general elections.
Arc. Salman made the call in a Statement obtained by The Drum Reporters on Saturday to commemorate the Eid el Kabir celebration.
He used the occasion to enjoin Muslims in Kogi Sate as well as Nigeria to use the special festival for fervent prayers, selfless services for humanity, peace, unity and love for one another.
The ADC Candidate further noted that this year’s Celebration calls for a renewed commitment to making humanity great, pointing out that the Celebration calls for citizens to show love and kindness to one another through sacrificial giving.
He, however, tasked Muslims on the need to be their brother’s keeper, stressing that the season is an opportunity availed to practicalize love and pray fervently, against the senseless killings of the innocent souls at almost everywhere in our country.
Arc Salman Idris urged Muslims to use this period for sober reflection on the acute challenges facing the nation and to see how they could apply the virtues of love and sacrifice in fashioning out workable measures aimed at pulling Nigeria out of the quagmire she has found herself in at this critical time.
