The immediate past Executive Chairman of Kogi State Science, Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission (STETSCOM), Hon. Cecilia Cook has congratulated the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on the verdict of the Gubernatorial Election Tribunal which uphold his victory at the November 11th Governorship election in the State.
Hon. Cook made the remark in a statement she personally signed and made available to Journalists in Lokoja.
The Educationist said the victory did not come to her as a surprise as the progressive minded people of Kogi State voted overwhelmingly for the party in the last Gubernatorial Election.
She described the verdict as a victory for democracy, saying with the judgement has again reaffirm judiciary as the last hope of the common man.
On behalf of my family, I want to heartily Congratulate our result oriented Governor, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo following the judgement of the Kogi State Governorship Election Tribunal to upheld his election.
She expressed satisfaction with the remarkable achievements of the Governor since he assumed office, describing it as eventful.
Hon. Cook urged the SDP Governorship Candidate to accept the outcome of the election and Tribunal judgement in good faith and with the spirit of sportsmanship.
She prayed God to grant the Governor the needed good health and wisdom to enable him achieve his dreams for the people of the State.
