International Girl Child Day: Group Donates Sanitary Pads, Instructional Materials to Female Students

As part of activities marking this year’s International Girl Child Day, a Political Group, Young Women in Politics Forum, Kogi State Chapter has donated sanitary pads, exercise books and pens to 75 female students of Army Day Secondary School Lokoja.

The State Coordinator of the Forum, Barr. Joy Akinola while addressing the female students on the theme of the celebration: “Our time is now: Our Rights, Our Future,” told the girls not to look down on themselves as they are specially created by God.

The Students, who were delighted to receive the Forum, expressed joy that they are being recognized and celebrated.

 

They promised to be more committed to their studies and show interest in the affairs of Nigeria.

Principal of the School, Mr. Salami Moses thanked the Forum for choosing the school for the implementation of project of the bod, describing it as laudable initiative.
