Kogi @ 31: Andrew Onu Adama Fete Gov. Bello and Citizens

As Kogi state joins its eight other counterparts created in August twenty seven nineteen ninty one by the then military administration of General Ibrahim Babagida to mark her thirty first anniversary of creation,an illustrous son of Igala kingdom,Hon. Andrew Onu Adama has felicitated with Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello and the generality of the people of the state.

 

Hon. Onu Adama who is also a loyalist of the governing party,All Progressives Congress, Abuja based business magnate and an eminent son from Dekina local government area, in a message of felicitation to the citizens of the state which was made available to Media Houses in Lokoja said its creation far back thirty one year ago is a dream come through for the inhabitants of the old Kabba province.

 

Hon. Onu Adama who took a clinical assessment of the leaders who were privileged to steer the ship of the state since its creation from retired colonel Zakari Mohammed as the first military administrator and up to the present administration of Governor Yahaya Bello admitted that the hope of the people were restored and rekindled despite of nadir of challenges with the creation of the confluence state.

 

He acknowledged the immeasurable inroads of past and present leaders made in the establishment of durable and endurable infrastructural development projects ranging from the Universities, State of the arts health care facilities , good road network, advancement in primary and secondary Schools, construction of housing estates which spanned across the lengths and breaths of the emerging solid minerals and oil producing rich state.

 

Hon. Andrew Onu Adama who attributed the tremendous and gargantuan achievements the state and its citizens had recorded and witnessed during the period under reviewed traced it to the peaceful co-existence of the multi-ethnic tribes that decided to co-habit peacefully.

 

The Dekina born philathrophist and humanist further admonished the citizens to foster Peaceful living with one another, support government policies programmes and contribute their little quotas to the socio-economic growth and development of the state.

As we commemorates the thirty first anniversary of the creation of our beloved Kogi state all hands must be desk to work together as one people with one destiny to catapults our father’s land to an eldorado of sustainable growth and advancement’.Onu further quipped.
