As Kogi State marks its 31st Anniversary of Creation, Executive Chairman of Science, Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission (STETSCOM), Mrs. Cecilia Cook has hinted that her vision is to leave solid legacies for secondary school education.

Mrs. Cook told Newsmen in an interview that with the investment of the State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello in the Secondary School subsector, the State will compete favourably with their counterparts in the country.

She restated her commitment to justifying the confidence reposed in her by the Governor in contributing meaningfully to the growth of education.

According to her, the recent ranking of the State in the 2021 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination is a giant stride of the present administration in the State.

She commended the Governor for giving attention to the plight of teachers, pointing out that the ongoing recruitment of teachers for Secondary schools is geared at placing education of the best pedestal.

She lauded Governor Bello for construction of the GYB Model Schools in the three Senatorial Districts, describing it as a bold step.

Mrs. Cook, while congratulating the Governor and members of his cabinet on the 31st Anniversary of the State, pledged loyalty and commitment of teachers in the State, towards achieving the vision of the present administration for the education sector.
