Kogi State College of Education Ankpa on Wednesday took delivery of some state-of-the-art Skill Acquisition Facilities Worth Millions of Naira from the Tertiary Education Fund (TETFUND).
Provost of the College, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba, while receiving the items expressed delight over the gesture by TETFUND as the equipments are in line with his vision of producing productive graduates that will not only be self reliant but add value to the nation.
According to him, the Institution Under his leadership had commenced practical training in Tailoring, Shoe Making, and Soap Production, a development that is first of its kind as it is a bold step is aimed at equipping students not just with theoretical knowledge, but with hands-on entrepreneurial skills that can empower them economically.
“We are committed to raising graduates who are not just job seekers but job creators. This is only the beginning,” Dr. Fashagba stated during the program launch.
This initiative marks a significant shift in the college’s approach to education—integrating vocational training into academic life in line with NCCE module.

The College Management in the glaring presence of the College community and especially the elated Students took delivery of a good number of Automatic and Manual 4432 Singer Machines, Complete/comprehensive tools for Soap making and Shoe Making Kits.
Dr. P. F. Fashagba while taking the delivery commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his team for his continued support for the college and equally appreciated the Tetfund for the timely intervention in this special unique area.
