The Manager Director of Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Mrs. Folashade Joseph was on Saturday conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Aare Yeye Atuluse of Ogidi land by HRH Oba Rabiu Oladimeji.
The honour was part of activities marking the 2022 celebration of Ogidi Day and New Yam Festival.
Speaking shortly after receiving the title, Mrs. Joseph thanked the Ologidi for the honour done her, saying she is delighted with the recognition.
According to her, she is passionate about development of the grassroots, promising to use her office to affect human lives positively.
She noted that through her Non Governmental Organisation, she has empowered Widows and youths towards ameliorating their sufferings line with the Federal Government get 100million Nigerians out of poverty.
Mrs. Joseph explained that she has also used her office to facilitate loans for farmers fron the Central Bank of Nigeria from (CBN) to ensure food security.
While thanking the Ogidi Community for the confidence reposed in her with the title, the Managing Director promised not to disappoint them as the honour will spur ber to do more.
The Ologidi of Ogidi, Oba Rabiu Oladimeji Sule on his part said the conferment of the Title was in recognition was in appreciation of Mrs. Folashade Joseph for impacting on the lives of the people, especially loan for farmers and distribution of fertilizers.
According to the Ologidi, the Title is in recognition of her contributions to farmers, women and youth empowerment in the Community.
Reacting to the honour, the Olujumu of Ijumu, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni congratulated the NAIC Managing Director on the well deserved, describing her as a blessing to the entire Ijumu Kingdom.
In his reaction, a Kogi West Grassroots Politician, Hon. Funsho Olumoko described the Title as a reward of hard word and quality service to humanity.
Hon. Olumoko lauded Mrs. Joseph for her show of kindness and charity to humanity and thanked Ogidi Community for recognizing her modest contributions to nation building.
