A Frontline Kogi Politician, Dr. Williams Toyin Akanle has been conferred with a Heart of Gold Award for his contributions to humanitarian service.
The Award is in recognition of his sterling leadership qualities and unflinching support to the wellbeing of the down trodden especially, orphans and widows.
Presenting the Award to the Philanthropist, Proprietor of Rehoboth Children’s Home (RCH) Lokoja, Chief Modupe O. Awoniyi said the Heart of Gold Award was conferred on Dr. Akanle in honour of his commitment in reaching out in cash and kind to the Orphanage home.
According to her, anyone that stands by widows and orphans has fulfilled the injunction of God to show love and care to the needy.
She lauded the Security Expert for using his time and resources to meet the desires of the masses and prayed God to reward him.
Responding, Dr. Akanle, who was represented at the ceremony, dedicated the Award to God and every less privileged in the society.
According to the Grassroots Politician, the Award will spur him to do more for God and humanity, urging the management and staff of the Orphanage Home not to be discouraged and be focused towards achieving set goals.
He thanked the Home for the honour done him, saying he was surprised by the honour.
