Youths and students across the nation have been implored to be focused, united and continually build bridges across all divides.
Kogi State Auditor General for Local Government, Siyaka Adabenege Yakubu made the call in Kabba during a reunion in his honour by Kogi West Comradeship Leaders Forum.
Yakubu who stressed the importance of unity in ensuring development stated that Kogi remains one indivisible state irrespective of tribe, religion or political affiliation.
He pointed out that comradeship has continued to provide the platform for youth participation in governance and leadership in the country, hence there was need for dedication by the comrades.
According to the Auditor General for Local Government, the unity demonstrated among the Comrades who cut across all strata of the society resonates with the agenda of the Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Yakubu emphasized the need to breed leaders, describing it as a vital exercise which must be enshrined for every society to grow.
He explained that the Governor Ododo led government would continue to explore ways of creating wealth and ensure sustainable development while consolidating on the gains in workers welfare, security, health, education as well as youth and women inclusion in governance.
In his remarks, Chairman, Kabba-Bunnu Local government area, Zacheous Dare Michael applauded Governor Ododo for being a beacon of hope for citizens.
On his part, Former Chairman of Dekina Local government area, Muhammed Ali stressed that Governor Ododo has changed the trajectory of development and expressed optimism that more would be attained in the state.
