Kogi State Ministry of Education on Wednesday shutdown some schools operating without approval in Zariagi, Kabba Junction in Adavi Local Government Area.

The schools are; Divine Favor, Visyet Academy, Daarul Kitab Islamic Training Center, Success Field Academy Nursery/Primary School, God’s Foundation School, Olugrade Academy, the Way Excellence Nursery/ Primary School, Builders House Edu Care School and Almuahajrun Islamic Academy.

The Director Basic and Secondary Education Mr. Mathew Salami who represented the State Commissioner for Education Honorable Wemi Jones directed the Proprietors to report to the Ministry and apply for Approval.

He said that the State Government would not close its eyes and allow the operation of illegal schools to bring down the gains that have been made in Education.

Operating Schools without the approval of the State Ministry of Education he said runs foul of the 2020 Kogi State Education Law.
