In a bid to give back to her community, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Cultural Integration, Hon. Kemi Olawumi on Thursday visited the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to register her commitment to the School Adoption programme of the Ministry.

The Governor’s Aide was received by the Workaholic Commissioner, Hon. Wemi Jones, who commended the move by Hon. Kemi Olawumi.

The Commissioner in his remarks said the School Adoption Programme was aimed at bringing everyone on board in the development of the education sector.

He urged other Government Appointees and other well-to-do individuals to emulate the Cultural Integration SSA as government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility of improving education.

The Governor’s Aide, Hon. Kemi Olawumi said her recent visit to the Community High School Iyara, Ijumu Local Government Area which is currently in a dilapidated condition prompted her to adopt the school for rehabilitation.

Hon. Olawumi said her vision is to reconstruct a block of the School to create a better enabling environment for teaching and learning.
