Secretary to Kogi State Government, Doctor Folashade Ayoade has pledged to remain selfless in the her service to the State, Women and the Vulnerable.

Doctor Folashade made the pledge in Lokoja, when she received in her Office Members of Oiza Social Club who paid her a courtesy visit.

The SSG who attributed her success in life to God and by extension the help of the immediate past Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello described him as one person that would remain indelible in her mind and thanked him for the honour done to her.

She noted that the terrain of politics was quite challenging but has sulmounted difficulties through the grace of God and able to contribute her quota to the progress of the State.

”As a married Woman it took the help of God to confront the daily challenges of the office, home and other social engagements.

It could only be through divine grace one can achieve meaningful success in life and that has been what I enjoyed in the last eight years even in the face of opposition and when some of my trials has to be from the people of my own extraction.

As if that was not enough, God again used the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo to reappoint me.

This is a rare privilege and I will continue to live up to expectation and justify the confidence reposed in me.”

She promised to use her Non Governmental Organization, NGO to meet the needs of Widows and the Vulnerable to enable them live a meaningful and fulfilled life like other people in the Society.

The SSG enjoined the Women to be resilient and embrace hard work in the interest of their families and assured of her assistance where possible to give them a lease of life.

Earlier, the Leader of the Oiza Social Club who is also the Assistant Secretary of the Ebira People’s Association, EPA Women’s Wing Mrs. Fatimah Yakubu said they were in office of the SSG to felicitate with her on her reappointment and thanked God for the privilege of having her returned the third time to continue her good works.

The Woman Leader described her reappointment as ordained by God who has been using her to touch the lives of the downtrodden and expressed optimism that Doctor Folashade would do more having the rare privilege to return to the office.

She thanked Governor Usman Ododo for finding her worthy for the job and prayed God to continue to bestow upon her the grace to diligently accomplish the task before her.
