As the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole marks 57th birthday anniversary, he has declared Governor Yahaya Bello as his hero hence his total and unshakable support for his presidential aspiration.
This is just as he urged his political detractors to look for another assignment to engage themselves in.
The Speaker made the remark in a press statement issued yesterday in Lokoja by his Chief Press Secretary, Femi Olugbemi and made available to The Drum Reporters.
According to the statement, the Speaker will forever remain grateful to Governor Yahaya Bello for his monumental support and love shown to him, his family and the people of his constituency since he assumed office as the third citizen of the state in the sixth assembly which has made him a personality he never dreamed of within the society.
He said in the remaining days of his life, the youngest Governor in Nigeria will remain his hero hence no blackmail or propaganda will deter him in pursuing the realization of his presidential ambition which will reposition Nigeria as a nation in all ramifications to the benefits of all and sundry.
Prince Kolawole stressed that no any amount of efforts put in place by his political enemies can stop him from following someone who he has longed adopted as his political godfather, hence he will continue to earn his respect and loyalty till he depart this sinful world.
He said the occasion of his 57th birthday reminds him of God’s faithfulness in his life and that of his family, a son of nobody now a personality people desire to be.
The Speaker pledged to continue to render selfless service to God and humanity, urging his followers and admirers to appreciate God and Governor Yahaya Bello for the feat he has been able to attain in life.
He appreciated the people of Kabba/Bunu State Constituency for their continuous unalloyed support and cooperation with him and the current new direction administration led by Governor Yahaya Bello in the state, noting that without their support and cooperation he will not have been able to achieve what he has achieved so far.
He promised to continue to provide qualitative representation when availed the opportunity at the higher level in the House of Representatives come 2023.
He said his stewardship at the Kogi State House of Assembly and his commitment to the realization of the presidential aspiration of his benefactor which his was one of the people that pioneered the lofty idea for Governor Yahaya Bello based on his track records and monumental achievements in Kogi State for him to run for the highest office in Nigeria will definitely speaks for him as it is on records that the team he led that visited many states of the federation herald the aspiration to the world, pointed out that he has a strong convision that with the ongoing rigorous work the Yahaya Bello Presidential Campaign Council led by Senator Zungagi and Hafsat Abiola are doing, Governor Yahaya Bello will emerge victorious at the presidential primary.
