Olujumu Visits Brighthouse Academy, Applauds Mr. Oyelola’s Investment in Education

The Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom and Chairman, Ijumu Local Government Traditional Council, His Majesty Oba Dr. Williams Olusegun Ayeni on Wednesday visited Brighthouse Academy, a legacy Project of Oladele Oyelola Foundation aimed at transforming education in Okun land.

 

The Academy which is located in Aiyetoro Gbede is equipped with state-of-the-art educational facilities designed to meet the demands of 21st-century learning.

Oba Ayeni, who was accompanied by the Olugbede of Gbede land, Oba Olusegun Oloruntoba and other Traditional Rulers applauded Mr. Ola Oyelola, a Philanthropist per excellence for providing the tuition-free, integrated foundational education project which according to him is first of its kind in Okun land worthy of emulation.

 

He stated that no investment in Education is a waste in view of its critical role as the bedrock of any sane and serious Nation, saying the Ijumu Traditional Council is happy with the development.

The Ijumu paramount Ruler commended the Management and Staff of the Academy for doing excellent job in giving a bright future to the young generation in the Community and Okun land in General.

 

The School is expected to cater for Nursery, Primary, Secondary, and technical education with emphasis on quality and competence-based learning for underprivileged students across Okun land.

 

The Oladele Oyelola Foundation established in 2007 is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which focuses on Education, Healthcare, and Youth & Women empowerment.

 

Over the years, the Foundation has successfully executed numerous projects in various educational institutions, including Community High School in Ayetoro-Gbede, Iyah-Gbede Primary School, and Ansarudeen Primary School in Ayegunle-Gbede.

 

Responding, Mr. Oyelola said the vision to establish the Academy was given by God over 40 years ago to build a school to improve and give quality living to children.

 

The Monarchs use the visit to offer Prayers for Mr. Oyelola, the School and for the peace and development of Okun land.

 

Other traditional rulers present are; Olu of Odokoro, Oba Abdulganiyu Isah and Oba Dominic Ayodele Tolorunju, Olu Ayeh Gbede.
