The Pan-African Youth Union (PYU) has commended Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha, Director-General of the Energy Commission, for his transformational leadership in driving Nigeria’s energy sector reforms.
In a statement signed by Oladele John Nihi, Vice President West Africa, PYU, the organization noted that Dr. Mustapha’s stewardship has led to significant improvements in energy access and sustainability, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. “His efforts have been instrumental in repositioning Nigeria’s energy landscape, with notable progress in power generation, transmission, and distribution,” Nihi said.
“Dr. Mustapha’s visionary leadership has reinstated confidence in Nigerians, who are now witnessing tangible improvements in the energy industry,” Nihi added. He cited initiatives such as increased investment in renewable energy, expansion of electrification projects, and efforts to enhance energy efficiency as testaments to the Commission’s commitment to sustainable development.
The PYU official praised Dr. Mustapha’s contributions to promoting youth empowerment and development in Nigeria’s energy sector, expressing optimism about continued progress in building a sustainable energy future for the country. “We look forward to further collaboration with the Energy Commission in driving Nigeria’s energy transition and achieving our national development goals,” Nihi concluded.
