The Senator representing Kogi Central, Yakubu Oseni has broken silence on his inability to return to the 10th Senate.
Senator Oseni told newsmen in his Office that election into the Senatorial District is based on rotation, hence his inability to return for another tenure in office.
According to the Federal Lawmaker, “Ordinarily, there is a saying that “the reward of hard work is more work”, you know politics is local and is being played locally, there are some areas where there is zoning system and no matter how hard working you are, you have to leave, i think that was what played out at the Kogi Central Primary Election.”
He said the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a fair and just man, saying his decision though hard to take was in the interest of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Senator Oseni noted that he is not planning to defect from the APC as his unalloyed support is to Gov. Bello come rain, come shine.
He commended the Governor for his giant stride in the area of infrastructure, urging him to ensure that all ongoing projects are completed.
On the security of Kogi State, the Senator lauded the Governor for securing lives and property and added that goverment must do everything humanly possible to maintain the feat in the security sector.
