The member representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Salman Idris has approved the immediate rehabilitation of a damaged motorized Borehole in Igbolayere/Ilayere Ward, Ogidi in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Hon. Salman gave the express approval during a visit to the Ward as as part of Eid-al-Fitr celebrations.
As at the time of filling this report, The Drum Reporter gathered that the Contractor has already been mobilized as work is expected to commence any moment from now.
The Federal Lawmaker had inspected the Borehole shortly after paying a Traditional homage to the Ologidi of Ogidi, HRM. Oba Rabiu Oladimeji Sule before giving the accelerated approval.
This timely intervention will no doubt address the acute water shortage in some part of the community, improving water supply across the ward.
Upon arrival, Hon. Idris was warmly received by party faithful gathered in front of the APC ward secretariat.
The atmosphere was lively, with women dancing and youths cheering in appreciation of his impactful representation. After paying homage to the monarch, Hon. Idris inspected the ward’s water system, leading to an on-the-spot approval for a motorized overhead tank powered by a solar system. This project aims to address the acute water shortage in some part of the community, improving water supply across the ward.
Similarly, Hon. Idris and his entourage proceeded to High Chief Shuaib Ipinmisho’s residence, accompanied by community leaders and APC members from the three wards of Igbolayere/Ilaere, Okoro/Igah, and Ileteju/Origa.
At the residence, new members were formally received into the APC by the ward Chairman, assisted by Hon. Idris, Chief Ipinmisho and other party stakeholders.

Wasiu Suleiman, Ward Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Toyin Osadare, another Ward Special Assistant, Hon. Paul Alla, immediate past Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Lara Olorunshola, immediate past councillor of the ward, serving councillors, and other party and community leaders. They all gathered to show their support for Hon. Idris’s efforts to drive development in his constituency.
