SEYDA Women Day 2022: Kogi West APC Senatorial Flag Bearer Declares Support for Girl Child Education, Empowerment

The Kogi West Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kogi West Senatorial District, Hon. Sunday Karimi has declared his unflinching support for girl child education and empowerment.

 

Hon. Karimi stated this at the 2022 Women Day of South East Yagba Development Association (SEYDA) held at Ponyan, Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State.

 

The APC Flag Bearer noted that the role of women cannot be underestimated in view of their significant role for nation building.

In his words “I love this programme, you know, developing a girl child is developing a country, developing a State and developing family.”

According to him, he is encouraged by the programmes and activities of the Women Wing of South East Yagba Development Association, assuring of his support as well as that of his friends.

Hon. Karimi, who donated the sum of N1 million to the project of the Association, promised to get more support from his friends and well wishers to the body.

He said development cannot be left in the hands of government alone as the people must come together to sponsor self community projects that Okun people are known for.

He used the occasion to seek for prayers and support of Yagba women for the next election, urging them to get their PVCs and vote for him come 2023.
