20 Years Remembrance: Lanre Obalaja Pays Tribute to Late Dad, Mr. Z.O Obalaja

It’s hard to believe that 20 years have passed since you left this world, Dad. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you, your laughter, your wisdom, the strength in your silence, and the comfort of your presence.

So much has changed since you’ve been gone, yet a part of you lives on in everything I do. I carry your lessons with me, your love still echoing in my heart. I wish I could sit with you one more time, tell you about my life, hear your advice, or simply feel the warmth of your hand.

Grief never truly goes away, it just changes shape. And while time has helped me grow around the ache, it hasn’t erased the hole your absence left behind.

Today, I honor you, not just in memory, but in how I try to live. With integrity, with love, with strength, just as you taught me. Thank you for being my dad, for everything you were and still are to me.

I miss you. I love you. And I’ll carry you with me, always.

Proudly Remembered by your son, Lanre Obalaja
