Alh. Murtala Kola Akintola, a former National President of the Iyamoye Development Union and a member of the Kogi State Judicial Service Commission, has been promoted from Chief Obagunlu to High Chief Olufakun of Iyamoye Kingdom.

This esteemed title was conferred upon him by the Iyamoye traditional council over the weekend at the Obaro Palace in Iyamoye, Ijumu LGA.

Having recently been installed as the Obagunlu and now High Chief Olufakun of Iyamoye, this clearly demonstrates his dedication and support for the community. Moreover, this elevation reflects Chief Kolade’s significant contributions to the development of Iyamoye and the trust placed in him by the Obaro in Council.

He is a prominent leader within the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC), in Kogi State, and a former senior staff member of the Shipper’s Council of Nigeria, having gained enormous recognition for his efforts in Kogi State as well as Iyamoye and Ijumu LGA , HC Kolade’s elevation is both deserving and timely.
