The National Executive of Ijumu Development Union (IDU) has expressed grief over the transition of Oba Ibrahim Ade Momoh, the Obaro of Iyamoye.
Comrade Ahmed Ade Fatai, National President of IDU in a Condolence Message said the news of the demise was painful and shocking.
With deep sorrow and a heavy heart, we received the sad news of the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Momoh, the revered Obaro of Iyamoye. His transition marks the end of an era of wisdom, leadership, and peace for the Iyamoye community and the entire Ijumu Kingdom.
On behalf of all of us, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ijumu Traditional Council, the Iyamoye Traditional Council, and the good people of Iyamoye for this irreparable loss. The late Oba Momoh was not only a father to his people but also a beacon of unity, a custodian of our rich cultural heritage, and a bridge builder among communities.
His reign was characterized by humility, fairness, and dedication to the progress of Iyamoye and Ijumu land at large, most especially during his time as the regent of Ijumu Kingdom. His wise counsel and fatherly guidance will be greatly missed, but his legacy of peace, development, and community spirit will continue to inspire generations to come.
We pray that the Almighty grants his gentle soul eternal rest and gives his family, the Iyamoye community, and the Ijumu Kingdom the fortitude to bear this great loss.
