The Provost of Kogi State College of Education Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba FCNA has called on Christians and Muslims in the country to use the lent and Radaman period to pray for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, especially their re-election.

Dr. Fashagba in a statement congratulated both Christians and Muslims on witnessing the two holy periods which are seasons of spiritual rejuvenation.

The Provost noted that for the two fasting periods to coincide, is an attestation that the relationship between Christians and Muslims remains symbiotic as they serve the same God.

He urged followers of the two religions to imbibe the lessons of tolerance, fear of God and humility that the period is known for.

Dr. Fashagba particularly urged them to use the periods to pray for the peace and development of Kogi State under the leadership of Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo and Nigeria, ably led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He maintained that the people owe it as a duty to pray for their leaders, saying the Governor and the President have no doubt justified the confidence reposed in them.

He added by urging them to pray for the re-election of the President and Gov. Ododo to enable them continue their good work.
