In a strong show of political solidarity and confidence, Comrade Obafemi Rufus, aide to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has called on the good people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency to throw their full support behind Arch Salman Idris for a second term in office.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ engagement forum, Comrade Rufus described Hon. Idris as a transformational leader whose sterling performance in the National Assembly has set him apart as a beacon of purposeful representation.
According to him, the lawmaker’s track record of service, development-driven initiatives, and people-oriented leadership makes him deserving of another mandate.
He emphasized that Hon. Arch Salman Idris has consistently demonstrated visionary leadership by developing and implementing strategic plans aimed at fostering sustainable growth and long-term development across Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
“His ability to anticipate the needs of his people and respond with practical solutions clearly distinguishes him among his peers,” Rufus stated.
Highlighting the lawmaker’s deep connection with the grassroots, Rufus noted that Hon. Idris maintains active engagement with constituents, listening attentively to their concerns and translating them into actionable legislative and developmental interventions.
His effective use of social media platforms and regular town hall meetings, he said, has further strengthened communication and accountability.
On human capital development, the Governor’s aide commended Hon. Idris for prioritizing education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. Notably, the federal lawmaker secured over 39 fully funded scholarships for deserving students, providing opportunities for academic advancement and a brighter future for young people in the constituency.
In the area of legislative performance, Hon. Idris has sponsored three significant bills and championed over 20 motions focused on economic growth and national development. Rufus described these efforts as evidence of his competence, influence, and commitment to quality representation.
Infrastructure development under his watch has also been remarkable. He flagged off critical road construction projects, facilitated the installation of transformers to improve electricity supply, and provided solar-powered water facilities to enhance access to clean water in several communities.
Agricultural development has not been left behind. Hon. Idris distributed fertilizers, seedlings, and agrochemicals to farmers, boosting food production and supporting local agribusinesses. His empowerment initiatives targeting women, youth, and vulnerable groups have further strengthened economic resilience within the constituency.
Comrade Rufus also praised Hon. Idris for his strategic political alignment, noting that his ability to position the constituency within the corridors of power has enabled him to attract valuable resources and opportunities for his people.
“Hon. Arch Salman Idris has proven himself as a leader who not only makes promises but fulfills them. His transformational leadership style continues to bring tangible progress to Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu. Supporting his second term is a vote for continuity, development, and sustained prosperity,” Rufus concluded.
