Kogi State students across the higher institutions of learning in the State, today, paid a Thank You visit to Mr Olayinka Braimoh, Action Alliance Party Governorship Candidate for approving and releasing School Fees Scholarship for 150 of their members.

The Programme tagged Braimoh Students Support (BSS) was led by the Convener, Comrade Lydia Stephen supported by the Chief of Staff, National Association of Kogi State Students, (NAKOSS) Comrade Akande Ezekiel and Comrade Sally Abdulsamad, representing BSS Chairman who was unavoidably absent.

In her address, the Coordinator, Comrade Sally said this is first of it’s kind in the State where a candidate for Governorship Election will be paying students school fees. in her words, “On behalf of the entire beneficiaries of this scholarship, I want to sincerely appreciate Mr Olayinka Braimoh’s act of magnanimity. This is the first time a Governorship Candidate will be showing us this kind of unflinching supports and the only way to show our appreciation is to vote enmass for the Action Alliance Party’s candidate in the November, 2023 election. If he can do this for us as a candidate, you imagine the gravity of what he will do when he becomes the State Governor”. Other speakers also talked in her support.

Meanwhile, representatives of the students from the 3 Senatorial Districts happily spoke and promised to mobilize students across the respective districts to vote for Olayinka Braimoh, saying that his kind of personalty is very rare in the society. They prayed for the political success of Olayinka Braimoh in the Governorship Election coming up by November, 2023.

In his response, Mr Olayinka Braimoh said “I have been descretely paying several Student’s School Fees across Nigeria since 2016 because there was no basis for me to publicize it. To me, I see this as a form of service to humanity that is not worth sharing to the public. I followed holy book’s words which says, “if you give with your right hand, it is profitable if you don’t allow your left hand to know. So, it is strange to realize that policians gives for political gains, if not, student’s support programmes should devoid of unecessary jamborees.”

He went further to say that his administration will ensure free education from primary to Secondary level after 3 years of his administration while students in higher institutions of learning will have access to part-time jobs through his wealth creation and distribution agenda which are to be driven by Agriculture, Mining, Tourism and Trade.

With these and others not here mentioned, the students promised to draw their only weapon (i.e. PVC) to fight for his success in the forthcoming election so that the above vision can come to fruition.

Those present at the event thereafter callected their respective reciepts and at the end of the event, Olayinka Braimoh released the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira Only (N300, 000.00) to take care of their transportation from and back to their campuses.
