Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to the family of the Obajemu of Owe Land, Oba Michael Ibinaiye who passed away on Thursday.
The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu extended the condolences of the Government and people of Kogi State to the family and entire Owe people.

He described Late Oba Ibinaiye as a pillar to the Owe Community as well as the Local Government, pointing out that his demise is painful and unfortunate.
The Governor told the family to take solace in the fact that the Royal Father lived a fulfilled life and worthy legacies that will continue to speak well of him.
He assured that the State Government will work with the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi to give the Late Monarch a befitting Burial
Also speaking, the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara rtd described the Late Royal Father as a humble man, who piloted the affairs of his domain peacefully.
He also described him as a successful retired Civil Servant and a reputable Traditional Ruler, who’s wealth of wisdom will be greatly missed.

Commander Omodara also extended the condolences of the political office holders from Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area to the family and people of Owe Land.
Responding on behalf of the family, the Eldest daughter of the Late Oba, Mrs. Deborah Philip Kutu expressed appreciation to the Governor for identifying with the Family in their moments of grief.
Earlier, the Governor paid a Condolence Visit to the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman Okun Area Traditional Council where he extended his sympathy.

Responding, Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi expressed appreciation to the Governor for the visit despite the short notice.
He commended the Government for the current feat achieved in the Area of Security and called for the sustenance of the gesture.
The Governor was accompanied by the Commissioner of Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, Commissioner of Information and Communication, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo and that of Water Resources, Alh. Farouq Yahaya.
