The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Office of the First Lady, Kogi State, Janet Ovayoza Samuel, has congratulated the Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government, Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege, on his emergence as Chairman of the Conference of Auditor-Generals of Local Government in Nigeria.
Adabenege emerged at the 30th Conference of the body, held in Lokoja, Kogi State.
In a statement, Samuel described the development as more than a personal achievement, but a significant feat for Kogi State and particularly for Okehi Local Government, which she said can once again take pride in producing a son whose competence, dedication and leadership qualities have earned national recognition.
She noted that Adabenege’s emergence as Chairman reflects the confidence reposed in him by his colleagues across the country and demonstrates the quality of leadership he has continued to provide in public service.
Samuel further stated that the achievement came at a time when Adabenege successfully hosted the 30th Conference of the body in Kogi State, adding that both the successful hosting and his subsequent emergence as Chairman have projected the state positively on the national stage.
She described the development as another moment for Okehi Local Government to celebrate the accomplishments of one of its illustrious sons, describing his rise to the national position as an inspiration to the younger generation and proof that dedication, integrity, humility and hard work can lead to greater responsibilities.
The SSA expressed confidence that Adabenege would bring his wealth of experience, wisdom and administrative capacity to bear on his new assignment, and contribute meaningfully to strengthening local government auditing, transparency and accountability across Nigeria.
She prayed for divine guidance and wisdom for him as he leads his colleagues nationwide, describing the development as a proud moment for Kogi State and Okehi Local Government.
