The 36 Political Elevation Group (36 PEG) has unveiled a comprehensive strategic framework aimed at strengthening its role in Nigeria’s electoral process and deepening democratic consolidation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The announcement was made in Lokoja through the group’s Director-General, Hon. Chief Sanmi Oluleye, who said the initiative was rolled out under the leadership and directive of 36 PEG President, Prince Dan. Olaitan Dada.
Speaking on behalf of the presidency, Oluleye said the new framework is designed to expand 36 PEG’s operational capacity, improve structured engagement with political stakeholders, and enhance the group’s contribution to credible leadership and voter participation nationwide.
“Under the leadership of Prince Dan. Olaitan Dada, 36 PEG has undertaken extensive consultations to reposition the organisation for greater impact. This framework reflects our commitment to promoting accountable leadership and ensuring that Nigerians at home and in the diaspora have a stronger voice in the electoral process,” Oluleye stated.
According to the Director-General, 36 PEG’s participation in elections remains guided by formal agreements with candidates and political parties. The group’s core focus includes mobilising diaspora voters, facilitating voter registration and transfers in line with INEC guidelines, and supporting grassroots mobilisation efforts that translate into measurable electoral outcomes.
Oluleye also disclosed that 36 PEG is extending its support to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State (APC), Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State (Accord Party), and Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa of Kwara State (APC). He said the decision was based on the group’s assessment of their leadership records and alignment with 36 PEG’s advocacy for credible, development-oriented governance.
“Our grassroots mobilisation strategy has proven effective in past elections, and we are confident that it will deliver similar results for the leaders we are backing. Our goal is not partisanship for its own sake, but to ensure that leadership that prioritises the people is sustained and strengthened,” he added.
The Director-General noted that 36 PEG would continue to operate as a non-partisan advocacy platform, working across party lines to promote issue-based politics, electoral integrity, and policy continuity. He said the group’s repositioning would also involve deeper collaboration with civil society, traditional institutions, and diaspora networks to widen its reach and influence.
36 PEG reaffirmed that its mandate remains to bridge the gap between political actors and the electorate, encourage issue-based campaigns, and support candidates who demonstrate capacity for accountable governance.
