The Executives of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday met at Iyara, the Local Government Party Secretariat to brainstorm on uniting and making strategy to deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and other Candidates of the Party in the 2027 General elections.
The meeting also had in attendance 4 Executives from the Wards of the Local Government Area comprising; Chairmen, Secretary, Youth and Women Leaders and all the Local Government executives.

The Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Solomon Mayowa Oyewole, who presided over the meeting expressed appreciation to the Ward and Local Government Party Leadership for their unflinching support to the ideals of the Party.
According to Hon. Solomon, as far as Ijumu Local Government is concerned, the Executive is working hard through unity of purpose to deliver all Candidates of APC from top to bottom of the Party.
The APC Chairman saluted the doggedness of President Tinubu in the area of appointment of many of our Sons and daughters and also providing needed and timely reforms that are placing the country on the right pedestal of peace, progress and development.
He explained that the State Governor has been implementing the renewed hope agenda of the President in Kogi State with prompt payment of workers salary, humility and projects that have a direct impact on the lives of the people of the State.
Hon. Solomon particularly applauded Governor Ododo for giving priority to issues of security, saying Ijumu as a Local Government has enjoyed relative peace so far.
The Chairman further states that “Ijumu will continue to be greatful to the Chief Servant of Kogi State for the trust he has in our sons and daughters for appointing them into key positions in his administration.
According to him, a Reconciliation Committee has been set up to move round the Wards to pacify aggrieved members.
He maintained that the directive by the Governor to deliver President Tinubu will be given one hundred percent attention as he has done much for Ijumu people.
He pledged the loyalty of the Party in Ijumu to the Governor and ideals of the Party, adding that APC remains a party to beat in the Local Government.
Other Speakers at the meeting expressed confidence with the leadership of Hon. Solomon Mayowa Oyewole, assuring of their total support.
