The 36 Political Elevation Group (36 PEG) has restated its support for Kogi State former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, in his bid for the Kogi Central Senatorial Seat, saying the endorsement was made before the recent APC primary election in which he emerged as the party’s candidate.

Speaking during a visit to the group’s office, the President of 36 PEG, Prince Dan Olaitan Dada, said the organization had already made its position public through an earlier publication backing Bello’s aspiration.

He noted that the endorsement was based on the former governor’s record in governance, particularly in youth inclusion, infrastructure development, and security reforms that benefited Kogi Central.

“We actually endorsed him in our publication even before the recent primary election which he emerged as the APC candidate,” Prince Dan said.

“For us in 36 PEG, this is about promoting competence and capacity. Kogi Central needs a senator who understands the terrain, has national visibility, and can attract federal presence to the district.”

According to him, the group’s assessment across Adavi, Ajaokuta, Okene, Okehi, and Ogori/Magongo showed that the people of Kogi Central are looking for a representative with proven leadership and the ability to negotiate for projects and jobs at the national level.

Prince Dan added that 36 PEG had commenced grassroots mobilization under its “Kogi Central Rise 2027” initiative, which focuses on ward-to-ward engagement, PVC sensitization, and policy dialogues on education, infrastructure, youth employment, and agriculture.

He said the group would continue to work with traditional leaders, youth groups, women, and professional bodies to ensure that the district sends a representative with the capacity to deliver results.

The 36 Political Elevation Group, which describes its mission as promoting competence, capacity, and generational shift in Nigerian leadership, said it views Bello’s candidacy as an opportunity to strengthen Kogi Central’s voice in the 10th Senate.
