Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Ayere/Arima Ward in Ijumu Local Government Area has passed a vote of confidence on the member representing the Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly.
This is contained in a statement issued after the Extraordinary meeting of the Ward Executive held and signed by over 30 EXCOS and Stakeholders.
The statement reads “We the executive council of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Ayere-Arimah Ward of Ijumu LGA wish to pass a vote of confidence on Honorable Olusola Kilani Olumo, member representing Ijumu State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly.”
“We want to confirm that the excos and stakeholders of the ward met and pass a vote of confidence on Hon Kilani. That Hon. Kilani remains the leader of the party in the ward and that we shall not tolerate anyone or persons who seek to undermine him within the party and the entire constituency.
“That Hon. Kilani is a committed party man who financed the activities of the party in the ward, and at the local government level and his efforts culminated in APC victory in the just concluded elections at all levels.
“That we, the excos of the APC in Ayere-Arimah ward, distance ourselves from the purported ploy by some miscreants and unscrupulous elements, scheming to destroy the party within through their shady vociferous attitude and selfishness- such people are referred to in the holy books as “Wolves in Sheep’s clothing”
“That we hereby pass a vote of confidence on Honorable Olusola Kilani Olumo and to warn mischief makers to desist from bringing the ward party leader and the party to their new low. We appreciate Hon. Kilani and will continue to work with him for the betterment and progress of the party, the ward, the LGA, the state and the national level.
