The Member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Hon. Salman Idris has commended the Nigerian Military, Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Vigilante Service, local hunters and the Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Hon. Haruna Ibrahim, for their swift response in foiling a terrorist attack in Ikoyi, Ijumu Local Government Area.
Hon. Salman in a statement through his Media Office particularly praised Hon. Haruna Ibrahim for his prompt mobilization of security operatives, describing the coordinated response as a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of the security architecture established by the Kogi State Government and security agencies.

He noted that the timely intervention prevented what could have resulted in a major security disaster and mass abduction.
The lawmaker expressed deep sadness over the death of a member of the Tiv community during the incident and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Tiv community in Ijumu.
He also wished the injured victim a speedy recovery.
While commending security operatives for inflicting casualties on the fleeing attackers, Hon. Salman urged residents to remain vigilant, comply with security directives and promptly report suspicious movements or persons with gunshot wounds to security agencies.
He warned criminals, kidnappers and terrorists to stay away from Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu, assuring constituents of his continued collaboration with the Kogi State Government and security agencies to strengthen security and safeguard lives and property across the constituency.
